Gallery Update!

January 31, 2009

New art has been uploaded into the gallery! I commissioned the artist before Christmas, and I’m so happy with the result! I’m a role-player at heart, and I love the way she’s given Gwyn her own little piece of character. Thank you! I love art work, and this piece is just amazing!

Check the gallery for the full piece, as well as some others that have been uploaded recently!

In other news, we’ve been farming achievements with Sevarash and Sarazein, two Guildies who we’ve known for a couple of years now; we’ve done most of the Outland dungeons now. It wasn’t hard, just a little bit infuriating… I’ve done those instances millions of times, so running them again was a bit of a bore.

I made my Guildies very happy by hitting 400 Inscription tonight, meaning I can make Darkmoon Cards of the North. Lets hope I can make the right ones, and help some friends get trinkets! Cablin also dropped Herbalism and Enchanting the other night, preferring to take up Skinning and Leatherworking. Its working his way so far, he hit 400 Leatherworking and maxed his Skinning a few minutes ago… He’s now waiting for kits to sell and for the gold so slowly trickle in!

Of Elders and Mammoths…

January 26, 2009

cablin-mammoth3As you can see by the picture on the right, Cablin got his shards and got himself a big tumbling rumbling mount of joy. The Mammoth.

Its quite dopey and cute actually… Its ears flop when it runs and it jumps like an idiot. Adorable. Cab actually got Stinker too, after snagging a few mini pets he missed. In between doing 25 man raiding and collecting the Elder achievements, we’ve been slacking a bit this weekend… I dropped my Alchemy (450) and picked up Inscription – it seems to be paying off already, even though it hasn’t quite reached the 200 mark as yet. Its still a long-ish haul though, and I’m even more happy I kept Herbalism (450). Its coming in more useful than I imagined, especially with herbs such as Goldthorn being 40-50g on the Auction House!

Over the past few days we’ve been mount hunting too, doing the Baron run, Zul’Gurub, Sethekk Halls… We’re planning on trying Karazhan at some point for the Horseman’s mount. Cablin is the mount collector, I’m the mini pet collecter… So we couldn’t miss out Magister’s Terrace. You remember that place, right? Well, we managed to duo it with no problem, but we couldn’t quite manage Kael’thas… Either way, we’ll duo him at some point. Duoing is something we really enjoy doing, so it won’t be too painful to do. Over, and over… Of course, it would be really nice to get the mounts for each of us… And over, and over…

Lunar Festival has hit Azeroth. We went around the majority of the Elders (only the ones hiding in Northrend dungeons remain – we’ll snag them tomorrow), but we didn’t quite anticipate what awaited us in our mailboxes the day afterward… Good God. Can someone take away the little red envelopes from these guys? I think they’re getting giddy with the office supplies… Not that I don’t enjoy being lavished with gifts. But geez… If it was my real mailbox, they’d probably get arrested.

Murloc Momma?

I had *so* much fun doing that quest. We hit 72 (and Cab managed to sneak in 73 too) last night so we wandered over to the Tundra that people really, really dislike. In our guild anyway. I haven’t found it that boring as yet, but we only made it half way through quests before calling it a night. Though something terrible has begun.

Our epics.

Are being replaced.

By blues and greens.

Yes, very slowly at first – but its happening. At least we raided towards the ‘end’ of Burning Crusade with a grin on our faces knowing we were going to be updated, but you still have to swallow that nominal amount of pride and switch in that green I think. Some of the items look rather pretty too, which is a bonus – especially when switching from epics.

inv_misc_bag_satchelofcenariusAs for my professions, Herbalism hit 425 last night (much quicker than I thought it would) and Alchemy is around 400. I’m only using the herbs I pick up from questing areas – I haven’t bought any, and I’m not having much of a problem. Once I collect enough, I’ll push through to 450. I’m determined to save gold and only use what I collect – thats why I picked herbalism, right?

Rent-a-Herby

November 3, 2008

Sometimes, I dislike having Herbalism. You see, some Balance Druids like taking up Inscription, along with Enchanting so that their beloved has to go around picking flowers all day. I’m sure he did it on purpose.

Emerald Pigment “Commonly obtained when milling Fadeleaf, Goldthorn, Khadgar’s Whisker, and Wintersbite.”

Thats the reason I’m running in constant circles around Swamp of Sorrows. Though… I don’t mind. Herbing is kind of therapeutic. In a Herby way. Inscription seems really, really useful for the expansion and I’d like Cablin to have it at 375 ready – not too hard with the gold you get from dailies and me herbing my heart out. I suppose the fact that we have alts who could use some yummy enchant scrolls has something to do with it too.

Now, onto something that has a lot of people rattled (though I’m not quite sure why, in all honesty). The Scourge event. I personally want it to progress – I’d love to be on a role play realm, but alas I’m on a PvE. Bronze Dragonflight took the event pretty well, from the forums a lot of people were worked up about it. I mean come on, its something different and fun. Don’t get mad.
