Well, with the recent economic climate, and both me and Cablin looking for jobs certain cuts had to take place.. WoW being one of them. Though, we recently reactivated for a month! Our time inbetween has been filled with FFXI (the game we met on) and if you know the game, feel free to catch our adventures on there, here.

I recommend looking through The Overachievers posts, telling you how to complete this years event. Its only short compared to the past few events we’ve had, so it is advisable to start getting those achievements extra early with your loved ones.

Whats Gwyn doing this year? Well, she has a small (but cute) surprise for Cablin, but he’ll have to wait and see. I like the Valentines event, its all so pink and glowing… Thats always a good thing, right?

But we all managed to pick up the achievement for clearing it, and they didn’t mind me tagging along an hour late since I finish work late on a Saturday. Thanks guys!

Aside from owning old school raids, and the newer ones, we’ve been on alts a lot. Hunters, Death Knights, and our Blood Elf Paladins. With the recent changes, I’m hoping Ulduar is going to be tricky, because the game has suddenly become very, very easy. Its no fun clearing Naxxramas 25 in two nights, and having to take it easy on the other raids because we want some things left to raid at the end of the week.

Its not that hard to duo, I just keep Lifebloom on him and since he’s an awesome tank anyway, I can usually help with a little DPS.

Anyway.

We knew the Black Qiraji Battle Tank was near impossible, so it doesn’t really bother our mount count that its being taken out. But its still a shame! The Black Tank is a typical ‘oldbie’ status symbol, and now even the most intrepid mount collectors can’t get them;

Going forward, the gates of Ahn’Qiraj will start out open on all new realms that are created. While we recognize that this is a unique event, we feel that the complexity of this event can cause various issues that negatively impacts a player’s game play experience. By automatically opening the gates and allowing immediate access to the Ahn’Qiraj instances, we would like to promote the higher level content that is available as well as ensure a smooth overall experience for players on these new realms.

This means that you can’t participate in the event itself, from which the Battle Tank is a reward. I know a few people who actually attempted to get the mounts by playing a new character on a new realm, so its not unheard of. These bugs are desirable!

The Black Qiraji Battle Tank will no longer be available with this change to the AQ event.

So, there you have it folks. People who have the Black Qiraji Battle Tank? Treat him/her well and keep them polished! (Thank you to Warcraft Mounts for the information!)

After months of doing the same fishing daily, my fishing loot pays off! Finally! Gwyn is having too much good luck recently, she got the Bronze Drake earlier this week, now Toothy?

A quick note:

I have a new button, on the right – its the link for Bronze Dragonflight’s unofficial player forums. I urge anyone from BDF who reads this to go sign up! Its a guy from our Guild who set them up, and he works hard on them – so go introduce yourself and have a natter!

Both factions are welcome, and its free to join – whats not to love?

• Savage Defense – this is a new passive ability. When a druid in Dire Bear form deals a melee critical strike, the druid gains a damage shield equal to 25% of their attack power. The next hit completely removes the shield regardless of how much damage was done.
• Survival of the Fittest has had its bonus armor reduced to compensate for the above increase in damage mitigation.
• Faerie Fire (and similar debuffs) now reduces armor by 5%. See Sunder Armor in the warrior update below for additional details.
• Thorns and Nature’s Grasp can be cast in Tree of Life form.
• Survival Instincts now works in Moonkin form.
• Replenish – to avoid confusion, this talent has been renamed “Revitalize.” It now also works with Wild Growth.
• We are also looking at increasing the sustained (not burst) damage of feral druids in cat form.

As you can see, so far every aspect of Druid has had a small (or large) change. Feral seems to be the tree-to-be however, especially with Savage Defence – it sounds like a wonderful new tanking move. I don’t know much about Tanking as a Druid, but I’ll get Cablin to give some input.

Restoration-wise, I’m happy. Not over-whelmed, or excited – but happy in a content way. Nature’s Grasp and Thorns in Tree from? Hurray! It wasn’t something that I really wanted, but it was an annoyance. Nature’s Grasp will come in pretty handy in those times where Cab isn’t tanking, and I need to run from aggro. The Replenish-rename is something that wasn’t really bothering me either. I guess I ran around with my eyes shut most of the time…

Yep, we ran Heroic Stratholme again. We actually got the time limit, and some lucky Resto Druid got the roll! Now we have to run it for Cablin, fingers crossed he’s as lucky with his rolls as I am with mine.

This poor fellow… I hit him with my fists, then an old stave, then an old dagger… To finish him off, I hit him with my current Epic mace. He went out with style. I did feel rather barbaric, hitting one of my own kind – even if he was a little infested…

Cablin and myself got our swanky new Ambassador titles today (well; he got his last night) and also unlocked all the Alliance racial mounts. Its a nice step forward, especially at this point where the guild is pretty much steamrollering content as fast as they are.

On that note, my poor little Restoration Druid went Balance for a few raids. Its such a big change, though I’ll admit I did have fun. We lacked a little DPS for a night, so I went ahead and respecced and became the Battlechicken. I didn’t do too bad, considering I had my Restoration Glyphs and Equipment… Quite proud of myself. I still missed my tree however, and scuttled back into the Restoration talents ASAP. I think healing is my niche. I’m not comfortable unless I’m healing, especially now Cablin is tanking. Protectiveness? Maybe. Bears need love too!

In other news, we’ve been farming achievements with Sevarash and Sarazein, two Guildies who we’ve known for a couple of years now; we’ve done most of the Outland dungeons now. It wasn’t hard, just a little bit infuriating… I’ve done those instances millions of times, so running them again was a bit of a bore.

I made my Guildies very happy by hitting 400 Inscription tonight, meaning I can make Darkmoon Cards of the North. Lets hope I can make the right ones, and help some friends get trinkets! Cablin also dropped Herbalism and Enchanting the other night, preferring to take up Skinning and Leatherworking. Its working his way so far, he hit 400 Leatherworking and maxed his Skinning a few minutes ago… He’s now waiting for kits to sell and for the gold so slowly trickle in!
